Question: Who do I call if I have an issue with snow removal at bike trail intersections with city streets?
Answer: If an area is a concern please contact Public Works & Services number @ 886-2310 and your call will be investigated. And or with the multi-use paths that are cleared during the winter months. You can contact us (Parks department) at parkservices@city.waterloo.on.ca or 747-8601. Please note that not all multi -use pathways are snow cleared unless they are on a school route or are considered a primary trail. In fact, certain trails are used for Cross Country skiing. You may have noticed many pathways that are signed "no winter maintenance".
Question: Would this contact be the same if there are issues with general maintenance of the trails and paths in the summer months?
Answer: You may direct your inquires for general maintenance of trails to trails@city.waterloo.on.ca or call us at 747-8601.
Question: Does the City of Waterloo have any policy on clearing snow from the Bike lanes on city streets?
Answer: Bike lanes are cleared when roads are ploughed. If you have a concern please contact our general number at 886-2310 and your concern will be investigated.
Question: Does the City have any procedure to request Bike racks or similar facilities in public areas?
Answer: Contact us at parkservices@city.waterloo.on.ca or 747-8601 and we will consider your request based on feasibility /cost/use.
Question: Is there any policy/bylaw about cars being parked in the bike lanes?
Answer: It is illegal to park in a bike lane. If you have a concern please contact Bylaw @ 747-8785. Most Bike lanes are signed No Parking e.g. Seagram Dr, Keatsway, Caroline, Columbia, and one side of Father David Bauer Dr., to name a few.
Question: Who would I contact if I wanted to request a curb cut at the entrance to a community path/trail?

Question: Who is the person to contact about having bike lanes added / marked on City streets (i.e roads that are not maintained by the Region of Waterloo)?
Answer: traffic@city.waterloo.on.ca Please be advised that there is a Bike-lane master plan but several lanes have not been built yet.
